Since qualifying as a registered member of the Society of Garden Designers back in 1997, I now have over two decades of experience working as a garden designer. I have an additional 10 years’ experience working as an architectural technician on residential schemes with local Architects as well as with a number of prestigious Property Developers.
My dual nationality of Dutch and English brings a pragmatic approach to my work, the emphasis being on simplicity and integrity.
With a strong technical background, some of my most notable designs have been on sloping sites, where the changes in ground levels have been fully exploited to stunning effect. My excellent understanding of proportions transforms every garden into a magical space.
My planting designs focus on structure for year round impact and foliage attributes for texture including grasses for their sensuality. Colour harmonies are carefully selected to complement the overall design.
